The President’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, gave the Weekly Real News Update from Trump Tower on Thursday. She summarized President Trump’s feelings about white supremacists and his progress in various departments.
Jumping straight into the controversy surrounding the president’s statements about the violence in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday, Lara Trump said the president has been clear about where he stands on the issue of hate groups and hate speech.
“This week, racism and criminal acts of hate have dominated the national stage,” Lara said. “President Trump has made himself very clear, repeatedly, on this subject.”
Lara quoted the president, who said Monday, “Racism is evil and those who cause violence in it’s name are criminals and thugs, including the K.K.K., neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.”
