THE HOLLYWOOD RIPPLE
As we continue this series on Hollywood, we will move beyond the boundaries of Tinseltown and touch on a few of the effects the Hollywood Ripple has had on California in recent times. This in no way means that the rest of the United States is insulated from this behavior but to cover more would require volumes and space is limited. We have looked at the rise and now fall of Hollywood, the effects on child stars with focus on those favorite Mouseketeers in a previous post. Then we moved to the pedophilia epidemic that has swirled thru Hollywood and beyond and now we will cover the ravages movies and loss of morals are having on our society.
The move from Playboy comes just weeks after the death of the magazine’s founder, Hugh Hefner. The media icon died on September 27. The November issue pays tribute to Hefner on the magazine’s cover. But between the covers, Playboy magazine will feature its first transgender Playmate, a decision that Cooper Hefner, a top executive at the magazine and son of empires’ founder, said on Thursday was in keeping with its founding mission of embracing changing attitudes about sex.
“Being a woman is just being a woman.” Meet November 2017 Playmate Ines Rau, the first transgender Playmate. https://ply.by/i8Dv7E

- The founder Hugh Hefner died shortly ago, and based his company off of women. He named it Playboy for a reason. Not Gayboy
- 2 genders
- Issa dude
- not sure who raised you without any respect for women and people in general but she’s a woman
- I’m at your side with respecting people, sadly not at the “she’s a woman” part. Basically because he doesn’t have “woman’s parts”
- So it’s a guy that’s pretending to be a women lmao
- No it’s a woman being a woman, it’s really not that hard to comprehend
- It’s a guy that mutilated himself and thinks he’s aaA she. Not that hard to comprehend
- I hope you understand how damaging your opinion can be, & how an understanding of what it means to be trans could improve the lives of many
- Yes because glorifying a mental illness is the way to help the trans community lol. these people need help not encouragement
- I don’t wanna see a dudes ass on playboy
- But I’m done arguing with someone who is transphobic
Everyone knows that sex sells. Particularly in Hollywood, sex scenes often have the power to increase the hype for a particular film, especially if the stars involved are famous to begin with. Hollywood Scandals is all about discovering the darker side of Tinseltown. In Hollywood, these stories don’t just sell movies and television shows, they’re woven into the fabric of a town that has no limits – especially when it comes to celebrities. From public meltdowns to private affairs, these are the tales that have come to dominate and define Tinseltown – where any vice is a headline, and every star has a role to play.
These behaviors have rippled to the media though as you can see in any current headline:
Judge Janine just said the Hollywood scandal leads to pedo rings that are GOIN’ DOWN! “Earliest claim again Weinstein goes back to 1980 or 1981.” ….. “Weinstein rape charges now up to 5 claims — three continents: North America – USA, United Kingdom, and New Zealand.”
“Movies have the power to do a lot of different things. They have the power to inspire people. To make people laugh, cry, or cheer. They can make you think and start important conversations. And sometimes, they can ignite a whole lot of controversy. Throughout the history of cinema, there have been films that have pushed the boundaries of what’s acceptable for public consumption. The line for what’s decent has been moved multiple times over the years, but the most scandalous movie scenes of all time are still capable of causing a stir years after they’ve been released.” states Johnny Brayson of Bustle.
The movies on this list have earned their spots for a variety of reasons, including violence, homosexuality, rape or the exploitative nature of the sex scenes. As we mentioned in our previous article in this series, the days of the Hays Code and Censorship are relics of a times gone by.
DEEP THROAT (1972)… BEGINNING OF LEGIT PORN — A legit porno movie being shown in regular movie theaters nationwide. No single scene stands out, but the 1972 film is about a woman who discovers her clitoris is in her throat and goes about graphically achieving as many orgasms with as many men as possible. Not surprisingly, the movie was subjected to numerous obscenity trials around the country.
BASIC INSTINCT (1992)… NUDITY — Despite a long career with a number of hits under her belt, Sharon Stone is still best known for exposing her vulva in this scene from the notorious 1992 thriller.
GLORY DAZE (1995)… GAY INNUENDO — Right at the beginning of the movie, we see Ben Affleck, with its hairy chest, getting out of bed shirtless, and as he goes to the bathroom, we see Sam Rockwell in the shower. We see Sam Rockwell’s through the curtain, but quite clearly, as he is heads out the shower, we see part of his penis.
KIDS (1995)… UNDERAGE SEX — This 1995 film was derided as child pornography for its depictions of underage sex, including the lengthy opening sex scene involving a half naked 12-year-old girl.
TIGERLAND (2000)… FULL NUDITY — Colin Farrell appears fully naked and Matthew Davis only shows us his butt. In that scene, they are having sex with girls in the same bedroom. No foursome, just sharing the same bedroom. Colin’s penis view is very brief as he walks in front of the camera.
MULHOLLAND DRIVE (2001) — LESBIAN WOMEN — The love scene between Naomi Watts and Laura Harring took this psychological mindbender to a new and different place. It starts off somewhat innocently with a little kissing but ) reaches a crescendo of sexual intensity. Not only did the scene define the film but it also catapulted Naomi Watts to the A-list. Harring can best be remembered for the dirty dancing Amazonian princess in “The Forbidden Dance” or as a lesbian housewife in “Drool.”
A TROUPLE TEEN MOVIE: Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN (2001)… GROUP SEX — Alfonso Cuarón will forever be synonymous for his Oscar win for Gravity where Sandra Bullock gets screwed over by space. However, his first mainstream import is this pulse-raising, heart-thumping sexual coming of age tale. When Luisa (Maribel Verdú ) meets two teenage friends (Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal) the three become a free-wheeling “throuple.” The film is chock full of sex but it furthers the youthful exuberance of the teenagers and the resurgence of Luisa’s sexuality. The film ends in a threesome filled with emotion and strong subject matter.
BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (2005)… GAY MEN — This film was groundbreaking for exploring love between two men. It’s not riddled with gratuitous sex scenes and nudity, except maybe from Anne Hathaway and Michelle Williams, but the scene between Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal brings years of intensity to a boil. The heterosexual love scenes are hot too but seem to be more of a focus while most of the male scenes are intensified by being quick, stolen moments.
SHORTBUS (2006) … even an ORGY — A group of New Yorkers caught up in their romantic-sexual milieu converge at an underground salon infamous for its blend of art, music, politics, and carnality.
CRANK (2006)… PUBLIC SEXUAL ASSAULT — The most controversial scene in the film is when protagonist Chev, played by Jason Statham, has public sex with his girlfriend Eve, played by Amy Smart, in Chinatown.
CHLOE (2009) … ADULTERY — This film takes sexual obsession to a new place. Amanda Seyfried was not known much for overt sexuality but she becomes a sexually predatory ingénue in this film. Julianne Moore hires an escort, Chloe (Seyfried), to test her husband’s fidelity. Well Chloe gets a little obsessed. She manages to seduce an innocent Moore. Both women are able to capture sexuality without it feeling inauthentic or forced. Moore is also able to capture an understated yet intensely sexy energy that just feels like real life.
SHAME (2011) …. even SEX ADDICTION — Successful and handsome New Yorker Brandon (Michael Fassbender) seems to live an ordinary life, but he hides a terrible secret behind his mask of normalcy: Brandon is a sex addict. His constant need for gratification numbs him to just about everything else. But, when Sissy (Carey Mulligan), Brandon’s needy sister, unexpectedly blows into town, crashes at his apartment and invades his privacy, Brandon is finally forced to confront his addiction head-on.
NYMPHOMANIAC (2013) — exactly what the title says — A self-diagnosed nymphomaniac recounts her erotic experiences to the man who saved her after a beating, and takes her into his home. As he tends to her wounds, she recounts the erotic story of her adolescence and young-adulthood.

The world’s most infamous Madam, Heidi Fleiss shocked Hollywood and had many of its stars quaking in their boots at the thought of being revealed as one of her clients. By 1990, Heidi was running her very own prostitution ring. She allegedly made her first million within four months of setting up shop.
A major bone of contention was that Woody had started a sexual affair in 1992 with Soon Yi (his wife’s adopted daughter) and had photographed her naked when she was about 20. He was 56 and she was 19 when their relationship started.
In March 1977, the then 43 year old genius Polish film director became embroiled in a scandal involving a number of charges he is alleged to have perpetrated against a 13 year old girl including underage rape, plying her with drugs and sodomy. He made a plea bargain and admitted to having sexual intercourse with the girl.
Corey Haim and Corey Feldman
“The Two Coreys” were teen idols and best friends in the 1980s. They starred in seven movies together.
Corey Haim became a drug addict and died in 2010. Since then Corey Feldman has spoken out about their lives as child stars. He claims that Corey Haim was raped by a man on a movie set when he was 11 years old. Last year he told the Hollywood Reporter: “He had more direct abuse than I did.”
Child abuse runs rampant in Hollywood, according to former child actor Elijah Wood, star of The Lord of the Rings, in an interview in The Sunday Times. Wood said there’s a dark underbelly of Hollywood, filled with “vipers” who only have their own interests in mind: “If you can imagine it, it’s probably happened.” Wood said that his mother protected him from abuse when he moved to Hollywood, by keeping him away from the parties where a lot of the abuse occurred. He was one of the lucky ones.
Corey Feldman substantiated these claims saying the problem of sexual predators in Hollywood isn’t going away. “I can tell you that the number one problem in Hollywood was and is and always will be pedophilia,” said Feldman. The “vultures” he described were “Hollywood moguls” who sexually abused him and his friend, child actor Corey Haim, among others. Feldman believes the abuse contributed to Haim’s death in 2010, as Haim’s drug addiction was a method of coping with the sexual abuse that occurred. “There are people in this industry who have gotten away with it for so long that they feel they’re above the law,” Feldman said. “That’s gotta change. That’s gotta stop.” BBC
The seedy side of Hollywood ripples outward and has become pervasive to much of California as well. Anything and everything goes. It has touched all areas from political to educational institutions in its path. Below are but a few of the numerous headlines that have plagued California for many decades.
California Lobbyists Involved in Sex Scandal Investigation: Common Cause’s complaint with the state Fair Political Practices Commission alleges the two women broke state lobbying laws by engaging in an inappropriate relationship with Republican Assemblyman Mike Duvall, who resigned last month. Duvall was caught on videotape during a break in a committee hearing this summer boasting — in explicit detail — about sexual escapades with two lobbyists.
UC Berkeley Provost Resigns Amid Sexual Harassment Scandal: University of California, Berkeley, graduate students Kathleen Gutierrez and Erin Bennett are filing complaints with the state after they say an assistant professor sexually harassed them and the school failed to discipline him.
California Preschool, Rocked By Sex Scandal, Is Closing Its Doors: According to KABC-TV, at least two young boys say they received oral sex from a five-year-old girl on the premises of the First Lutheran Church of Carson School, where the three children are students.
Sex, Drugs Scandal Ensnare USC Medical Dean: Carmen Puliafito, 66, resigned from his $1.1 million annual post as dean of USC’s Kek Medical School last March when it was discovered that he had befriended a 21-year-old woman who was a prostitute and who overdosed on heroin in his presence in a Pasadena hotel room, according to Southern California Public Radio. He reportedly resigned from his post three weeks after the incident.
This amoral behavior has reached such epic proportions that the legal side of matters has been touched in the Hollywood ripple. We have gathered a few of the recent laws that have been passed in the state of California to conclude this series.
CALIFORNIA — has now become the first state in the nation to allow residents to select a third gender option on official documents. Besides choosing “male” or “female,” people can now select “non-binary” due to a new law signed by Governor Jerry Brown.
California became the first state in America to legally recognize a third gender after Democrat Gov. Jerry Brown signed the legislation Sunday.
State drivers’ licenses, birth certificates, and other identity documents will now allow residents to check “non-binary” rather than just male or female, the Sacramento Bee reported Monday. The Gender Recognition Act is one of several gender-oriented bills Democratic state Sen. Scott Wiener introduced this year. Wiener partnered with Democrat State Sen. Toni Atkinson to push the bill. - Asking if you’re physically male or female on a form is state-enforced oppression of authenticity?
- Nice! I’m going down to the DMV is register as a polar bear!
- Oh good grief…ones gender is either male or female and can not be changed, regardless of what you or any others may declare themselves.
- Can I change my race depending on my feelings?
- It’s not a big win you idiot. It’s probably the most stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. You’re either a boy or you’re a girl.
- Reason #84,102 to get the f*** out of California.
- I gotta get out of this state. California is too far gone
So what is this and other new California laws? We had our top researchers go dig and here is what they found:

Herman, Susan Rankin, Mara Keisling, Lisa Mottet, and Ma’ayan Anafi – December 2016 …………… Many in the transgender community reported difficulty traveling when the gender on licenses and other identification conflicted with their appearance, according to a 2015 survey of U.S. transgenders. The survey included responses from 27,000 people, less than a third of which identified as gender non-binary
The 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey (USTS) is the largest survey examining the experiences of transgender people in the United States, with 27,715 respondents from all fifty states, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and U.S. military bases overseas. Conducted in the summer of 2015 by the National Center for Transgender Equality, the USTS was an anonymous, online survey for transgender adults (18 and older) in the United States, available in English and Spanish.

The bill would also provide certain protections to all residents of long-term care facilities during, among other things, physical examinations or treatments, relating to bodily privacy. The bill would define long-term care facility for purposes of these provisions to include skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, and residential care facilities for the elderly. The bill would also, among other things, require each facility to post a specified notice regarding discrimination alongside its current nondiscrimination policy in all places and on all materials where the nondiscrimination policy is posted. By expanding the definition of existing crimes, the bill would impose a state-mandated local program.

PROPOSED LEGISLATION — California Bill Would Require Workplace Transgender Training
July 6, 2017 6:45 PM By Lemor Abrams
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — California is on track to becoming the first in the nation to require workplace training about gender identity.
The new bill comes in response to a new survey showing a high unemployment rate in the transgender community.
The National Center For Transgender Equality says transgender workers experience unemployment three times the national average. Unemployment is at 15 percent for transgender people while the national average is 5 percent.

California Prostitution & Solicitation Laws: Penal Code 647(b) PC
Despite being known as the “oldest profession in the world,” prostitution still gets prosecuted aggressively as a criminal act. Prostitution, simply put, means to engage in a sexual act in exchange for money or other consideration (that is, other goods or services).
New California Law Does Not Legalize Child Prostitution
by Erik Ortiz DEC 30 2016, 4:00 PM ET
A California Republican claims Democratic-backed legislation aimed at protecting underage sex trafficking victims actually pushes minors into prostitution.
“Beginning on Jan. 1, prostitution by minors will be legal in California. Yes, you read that right,” Assemblyman Travis Allen, whose district covers parts of Orange County, wrote Thursday in the conservative D.C. publication the Washington Examiner.
Allen’s attack on the “terribly destructive legislation” has lit up social media — but the intention of the law is not as alarming as he suggests, its supporters say.
Senate Bill 1322, which was signed into law by Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown in September, goes into effect on Sunday.
“So teenage girls (and boys) in California will soon be free to have sex in exchange for money without fear of arrest or prosecution,” Allen wrote.
Senate Bill No. 1322 CHAPTER 654
An act to amend Sections 647 and 653.22 of the Penal Code, relating to minors.
[ Approved by Governor September 26, 2016. Filed with Secretary of State September 26, 2016. ]
SB 1322, Mitchell. Commercial sex acts: minors.
Existing law makes it a crime to solicit or engage in any act of prostitution. Existing law makes it a crime to loiter in any public place with the intent to commit prostitution.
This bill would make the above provisions inapplicable to a child under 18 years of age who is alleged to have engaged in conduct that would, if committed by an adult, violate the above provisions. The bill would authorize the minor to be taken into temporary custody under limited circumstances
UNITED STATES — Child Prostitution
The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children
The United States of America (USA)
The US has the largest and most technologically powerful economy in the world, with a per capita GDP of $48,000. In this market-oriented economy, private individuals and business firms make most of the decisions, and the federal and state governments buy needed goods and services predominantly in the private marketplace.
The onrush of technology largely explains the gradual development of a “two-tier labor market” in which those at the bottom lack the education and the professional/technical skills of those at the top and, more and more, fail to get comparable pay raises, health insurance coverage, and other benefits. Since 1975, practically all the gains in household income have gone to the top 20% of households. Long-term problems include inadequate investment in economic infrastructure, rapidly rising medical and pension costs of an aging population, sizable trade and budget deficits, and stagnation of family income in the lower economic groups.
