and hate filled Colin Kaepernick … became Gentlemen’s Quarterly (GQ) 2017 Citizen of the Year and Time Magazines coverboy for “The Perilous Fight” issue for taking a protest knee during our nation’s national anthem.

Meanwhile, J.J. Watt, a Houston Texan NFL player was sidelined from a game injury and he raised $37 Million for Hurricane Harvey Texas relief efforts.  And it doesn’t stop there …  JJ Watts is now providing shoes to soldiers in Afghanistan.

NFL Star J.J. Watt Gives Entire Military Unit in Afghanistan a Christmas Gift They’ll Never Forget

Houston Texans defensive end and former Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt has offered to send an entire unit of soldiers pairs of his signature new shoes, which launched Friday morning.

This is not the first time that Watt has shown his generosity and support for others.

Watt had become one of the NFL’s marquee players and a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He became an inspirational civic leader when Hurricane Harvey ravaged the Houston area. Hoping that with $100,000 of his own money as a base, a little online drive could raise money for relief and recovery, he ended up raising more than $37 million.

These are the kind of role models our children should be looking up too.  Kudos to JJ and all the positives he has done in our community and for our country.
