Guantanamo Bay – Will Americans be Guarding Other Americans?

With all the CEO’s stepping down, members of Congress stepping down, raids not reported on the news, airports temporarily closed down, flights with no identification traveling with escorts to Guantanamo, the storm is happening now behind the scenes. Military duty is tough enough when you are fighting a foreign enemy but imagine if you were called to protect our nation from treasonous DOMESTIC threats.

12/21/2017 – Mattis skips detention facility on holiday visit to GITMO base

US Defense Secretary James Mattis is paying a holiday visit to the Guantanamo Bay naval base. The first visit by a Pentagon head to the notorious detention camp site since 2002 comes after recent UN reports of torture there.

“Secretary Mattis is currently visiting with troops at Guantanamo Bay for the holidays to thank them for their service,” Pentagon spokesman Major Ben Sakrisson said. Asked by AP about his travel, Mattis declined to discuss it. “I carry out my duties to the best of my ability,” he said. [2]

Mattis Gave Christmas Message to Gitmo, Something We Haven’t Heard in Years

Defense Secretary James Mattis made a surprise visit to the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on Thursday and gave troops the kind of pep talk we have not heard in years. The visit was not a political one, as the defense secretary did not inspect the facilities nor did he discuss policies. He simply wanted to boost morale and let soldiers know how much he appreciated them. Mattis said the main goal of his trip was to bring the troops a little Christmas cheer, The Associated Press reported. When speaking to several hundred troops at the facility, Mattis stressed the importance of keeping Gitmo running. “We need this base badly,” he said, according to the AP. He added that regardless of the future of the controversial detention center, the Pentagon would not abandon the base. “I am confident that we’re doing the right thing here,” he told the soldiers, according to the AP. “I need you to be at the top of your game,” Mattis added, when speaking about the possibility of war. Something is happening and it has happened amid distractions of Iran protest, North Korea, tax reform, and Russian Collusion. Our belief is Defense Secretary James Mattis prepared the U.S. Marines and others to keep their oath to ‘Defend the country from foreign or DOMESTIC harm” and everyone already suspects who are the ‘bad dudes’. Happy New Year to ALL!
