My 2 Cents of Sense: MAKE AMERICA MORAL AGAIN!

Written by James Hovda

Who determines what is right, and what is wrong? Is it the government’s job to make claim to morality? Is it within the educational departments? Our employer? Our parents? Our church? Who’s job is it then to tell you that your mind, character, or will is acting in a standard of right or wrong behavior?

No matter where we are, there is a practice of etiquette in ethics set to what we are supposed to follow… not by law, but out of courtesy. As a few examples, we aren’t supposed to go out in public with our privates exposed, or shout out loudly in a theater or public forum. It is generally common practice to look nice when in church, and it is common practice to not beat up the game officials when they make a bad call. It is expected to park in designated areas, and refrain from using foul language when around ladies. But in modern times, we can attest that women cuss sometimes worse then men, that people park wherever they can get close, that referees have had the crap beat out of them by angry parents and ejected players, that people come to a church service looking as if they just came from an “all-nighter”, that people talk loudly on their cell phone in theaters as if no one else can hear them, or shout down someone trying to speak, and some people dress down to almost nothing when they shop at Target, KMart, and especially at Walmart.

Do people care that their actions raise an eyebrow, that others may judge them for the way they behave, that they may be ejected for their actions, or that they may even be breaking a law to possibly be arrested? Sometimes I truly wonder if people even give a damn any longer!

One of the 12 Planks of Communism is to destroy America’s morality. For if America no longer has little to no morals remaining, then they care not about others, their country, their God, nor themselves.

John Hawkins stated in an article, “An America that isn’t full of good people won’t remain a good nation, nor will it remain strong and free over the long haul.” Our country’s lack of morality has real consequences that are capable of eventually sinking us as a nation. Americans have become so “non-judgmental” that many people can no longer tell the difference between good and evil. The fabrics of morality have been torn from our nation just as it would be ripping the stars and stripes from the American flag.

There once was a huge stigma set upon those who lived together out of wedlock, had a child out of wedlock, and those who got a divorce. This isn’t the case any longer, as our nation has suffered dire consequences from this reversed ideal. Over 40% of marriages now end in divorce. People are re-married many times over, have several children from different spouses, co-habitat together until it becomes an inconvenience, as abandonment (without support or consequence) of both the spouse and children have become far too commonplace within our society. Over half the children born in the past decade are out of wedlock, and are raised in a single parent home, or by someone other than a paternal parent.

The rage among those under 30 is “same-sex marriage” and polygamy. There is a reason why the Bible has versus on this subject, but those under 30 see the Bible as a tool for removing their rights and freedoms. Yet it has become “Do as the Romans do!”… and we all know what happened to Rome in the end.

Has anyone ever done a real study on how there are twice as many criminals in prison today, per capita, versus China, Russia, and countries that have extremely strict laws? Fear of removal of the few liberties they do get seems to keep many in place, as their prisons are not like the “resorts” of the American penal system. Crime in America is a moral issue, because most who are imprisoned have little parenting to guide them, are drop outs of school, and have rarely seen the inside of a church. Sure, kids who are taught about good and evil, right and wrong, patriotism, chivalry and honor are going to make mistakes. A few of them will even turn out to be bad apples. Good people have a conscience and feel remorse for their bad actions. However, as full as our prisons may be, they are not full of God-fearing men and women. They’re full of people who are morally adrift. Morality has either never been enstowed into them, or they have rejected it all together.

One of the biggest factors in the fall of morality is the dishonesty of our own politicians. Leaders lead by example, whether the example is positive or negative. Monkey see, monkey do… as many see the rich and political monarchs roam free of the crimes they have committed, as justice has become a one-way street. If you are wealthy and connected enough, you get a revolving “Get-out-of-jail FREE” card to use every time you get caught. The common criminal has yet to understand that they neither have the money nor the connects that keeps one free.

In the past, if a politician was found doing dishonest acts against his constituents, the people would tar and feather him, then send him packing on a rail, as the citizens quickly found his replacement. Today, they seem to be rewarded, as some even become presidential candidates, or part of their staff. Then they write a book and make millions off of royalties, speeches, and consultation, simply from their lies and deceitfulness.

If you attend service at your local church, you may notice that the average age group is becoming more wrinkled and grey. Many under 30 no longer attend service, as some even denounce Christ, God, and the Scripture. As the Catholic Diocese is plagued with sexual misconduct and cover-ups, more seem to be turning away than coming forward to God. The younger generations are becoming more crass, rude, cruel, and obnoxious than ever. And, the lack of religion can be the culprit behind a generation that often rewards sarcasm instead of wisdom, rudeness instead of insight, and oils the squeaky wheel before the farsighted vision of God-fearing patriots who are very much smarter.
Their music, games, TV, film, and Internet have corrupted many a young mind, and with it their morals. Samuel Adams once said, “A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.”

The two bedrocks America that was founded upon, and depended upon, are today reviled and attacked as not being relevant to modern American culture. Those two bedrocks are the Constitution and the Bible.

The Bible is no longer the truth and wisdom that a sovereign nation anchors its present and future aspirations upon. It is viewed by many as “the resource of the foolish and ignorant who subscribe to a theology of misogyny, bigotry and narrow-mindedness”.

Alexis de Tocqueville, the great 19th century political thinker and historian, wrote in his famous work, ‘Democracy in America’: “I sought for the key to the greatness and genius of America in her harbors; in her fertile fields and boundless forests; in her rich mines and vast world commerce; in her public school system and institutions of learning. I sought for it in her democratic Congress and in her matchless Constitution. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great. The safeguard of morality is religion, and morality is the best security of law as well as the surest pledge of freedom. The Americans combine the notions of Christianity and of liberty so intimately in their minds, that it is impossible to make them conceive the one without the other. Christianity is the companion of liberty in all its conflicts-the cradle of its infancy, and the divine source of its claims.”

Immorality and moral opprobriousness are no longer to be judged, but it is proper instead to understand that the only thing that matters today is how it makes the individual feel. Situational ethics and emotional response are the norm… the means justify the ends. Along with the outspoken atheists who reject religion, government and judicial systems condemn religion, and have a vested interest in removing religion of our God to produce their own government-ran “church”. The government today dictates morality and punishes the church for not following government decree. Some look at government as their god.

Today, the Constitution is looked upon as outdated and a creation of wealthy, old white men who owned slaves. It is looked upon as not warranting legitimacy as the most influential preservers of human rights, and the setting of limits pursuant to reach of government because, in their view, times have changed and our Founding Fathers could not have understood what changes the future holds; ergo, it was only functionally relevant during their time.
America has replaced order and morality with chaos and selfishness. The Left believes that Americanism is no longer a standard to the world that shows forth truth and constitutional justice. To them, America is a purveyor of lies, debauchery, betrayal and subjugation.

It is with great hope that our President, Donald J Trump, not only makes America strong, safe, rich, and great again, but also makes America moral again. The course must not only be reversed as to how Americans perceive their nation, but also how Americans perceive one another.

As a nation, we have lost our moral compass, as well as our ethics. We must go back to our roots to teach the truth, and restore the morals and ethics of true Americanism, not the false practices of socialism, communism, and globalism. Those who are guilty of our decline need to pay the price for their treasonous activities… justice will restore America’s integrity. We can only take America back when we unite in effort and support as our Founders did, after so many sided with England and the king. They showed the people a true vision of liberty, freedom, and justice. The people then followed. With President Trump as today’s re-founder, we can repeat history!

Thank you for your support!
