Has GOFUNDME Become the New MONEY-LAUNDERING Scheme??
Shared by Ann Rose Laurence – September 26, 2018
We’ve all seen them shared across our social media circles: the emotional stories of people and charities in need, the heartfelt pleas for help in funding a startup or pet project, and then a link to a webpage where we can donate to lend a financial hand. In most cases these stories are legitimate and the crowd-sourced funds are used to benefit those who have encountered illness or tragedy or who are determined to finance their next big project; however, in a growing number of cases, crowdfunding websites are being used for illicit purposes—including money laundering.
First gaining popularity in the early 2000s, crowdfunding is a way of soliciting financial contributions from people around the globe through an online platform. The most well-known sites today include Kickstarter, GoFundMe and Indiegogo. Today we are looking into the extensive fundraising potentials that GoFundMe has produced for many recently especially Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
PART 1 — DEMOCRAT MONEY – LAUNDERING 101 [1]
CNN, Salon.Com and Huffington Post; buckle up because we’re about to blow your entire narrative out of the water.
Part One – GoFundMe.com Money Laundering 101
We have noticed a disturbing new trend of prominent “Anti Trumpers” and other shady characters on the left raising copious amounts of cash via various crowdfunding platforms and in recent months partisan media outlets and Democratic operatives have begun to use sites like this to launder cash pay off’s and fund their favorite players of “The Resistance.”
Here are a few of the most grotesques examples:

(1) STRZOK – Support for FBI Veteran Pete Strzok: $462K
(2) A. FORD – The Leftist flavor of the week: Dr. Blasey Ford has amassed a ridiculous $419K from the three separate
(2) B. FORD – GoFundMe accounts set up on her behalf.
Help Christine Blasey Ford: $167K
(2) C. FORD – Cover Dr. Blasey’s security costs: $209K
We Believe Women: $43K
Many have speculated the DNC and other operatives have laundered bribe money through GoFundMe. [1]
AND DON’T FORGET — ANDREW McCABE — $$551,141 as of April 2018 when it was closed, original goat was $150K, upped to $300K, and upped again to $500KL — AND NEW DOJ FIRED ALLISON KRABAR (from Project Veritas expose) — $10,745 of $7,000 goal.

ACTUAL GoFundMe ACCOUNTS RELATED TO CHRISTINE BLASEY FORD FOUND BELOW
Good evening.
It has been absolutely inspiring watching the continued love and support for Christine and her family pour in throughout today.
I wanted to share a few GoFundMe campaigns that I think would also be great options for people to contribute to.
https://www.gofundme.com/make-justice-rainn [info provided below on link 4]
This campaign was inspired by today’s events and funds are going directly to the 501(c)3 Certified Charity Rape Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN).https://www.gofundme.com/honor-dr-blasey-as-an-educator [info provided below in link 5]
Heidi, who ran the other large campaign for Dr. Blasey, is now raising funds to create a scholarship in Dr. Blasey’s name.https://www.gofundme.com/timesup [info provided below on link 6]
TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund connects those who experience sexual harassment, abuse or related retaliation in the workplace or trying to advance their careers with legal and public relations assistance.PLEASE consider donations to these fabulous organizations rather than this campaign, although we will keep the campaign open if you really want to donate to the Ford family.
________________________________________________________________________New update – Dr. Ford has agreed to testify this week. We are going to find out what additional expenses will need to be covered and explain here. Then new donors can decide whether to make donations to cover these additional expenses. Previous donations will go towards security. New donations will go towards security and other expenses determined by the family. We will close the campaign when we have raised enough to cover these expenses.
Thank you again for your support.________________________________________________________________________
Important Update — We want to be very clear that the money raised from this campaign is going directly to the Ford Family. They are the only authorized beneficiary. We have worked closely with GoFundMe to ensure this. This campaign is a great way to contribute directly to the family to cover the immediate security and personal expenses they are incurring.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support!________________________________________________________________________
Christine Blasey Ford demonstrated a huge amount of courage speaking out this week. She did not initially come forward because she was scared of the response. She was right to be scared. Not only has the right wing smear machine started, but she is receiving serious threats against her and has had to engage a security force to protect her family. This is all really expensive and she needs our help. We need to protect the voices of brave people who speak out – especially when they are part of our community.
Christine is Palo Alto mom, a beloved professor and mentor and friend. This fundraiser is sponsored by her neighbors and colleagues. She is truly grateful for your support!
Please note that we will not withdraw any of these funds. The family has been named the sole beneficiary and her husband will take the funds directly from GoFundMe. [3]
EDITOR NOTE: The Next THREE GoFundMe’s are referenced above as additional campaigns.

Recent current events are triggering and fill me with anger, sadness, and resentment. I know many others feel similarly: family, friends, and co-workers are all feeling and mourning deeply.
I want to channel some of this energy into positive forces, those organizations that will ensure care for the survivors and supporters of rape victims. Because of this, I am committing myself to matching any donations up to $25K to RAINN (Rape Abuse & Incest National Network) which is the non-profit organization that operates the National Sexual Assault hotline.
Please give as you can, share with others, and most of all, care for yourself and those that you love who have been affected directly or indirectly by sexual assault. [4]
Donation Comments:
- In honor of Dr. Ford and all survivors of sexual assault. You are believed!
- to honor Dr. Ford’s and all the other survivor’s courage.
- In honor of Christine Blasey Ford
- Christine Blasey Ford’s courage and strength
- Sexual assault is a serious problem in America, and it is clear that the Republican party does not care. The Kavanaugh allegations are not even being investigated, and Senate Republicans are rushing to put him on the Supreme Court so he can gut women’s right to bodily autonomy. We need to believe and respect survivors, not re-traumatize them!
- Thank you, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, for your courage and strength. You are an inspiration to all of us.
- Thank you Dr. Christine Blasey Ford for having the courage to speak up.
- I donated because of Professor Ford’s courage in coming forward. She showed a patriotism in her testimony and a concern for the future of the Supreme Court. Her testimony unlike that of Judge Kavanaugh was entirely believable. She, unlike him, was calm and deliberate, showed a selflessness and concern for the future of the supreme court. And, unlike him, she showed herself to be unpartisan. Judge Kavanaugh should not be confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States.
- In honor of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and the courage she has inspired in so many others.
- I donated because of Dr. Ford’s courage and honesty and because of the many silent, helpless, hopeless victims.
- The fund for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is no longer accepting donations and they suggested donating to this site as an alternative.
(These 10 comments are from last four hours only of this campaign.)

Today, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford (who uses “Blasey” professionally) carried on her career as a scholar and educator, by providing lessons in civic responsibility, courage, and using one’s knowledge to speak truth to power.
To honor her, particularly in her professional capacity, this is a campaign to raise funds to endow an academic chair (professorship) and/or scholarships, to be named so as to recognize Dr. Blasey.
I do not know Dr. Blasey and I am doing this on my own initiative. I will attempt to confer with her about where to locate and how to title any endowment we raise. I want to start the campaign now, so that as the hearing continues, we can donate or publicize to demonstrate the same commitment to education Dr. Blasey so clearly has and to show our appreciation for her commitment and integrity.
I previously sponsored a capped fundraiser to assist Dr. Blasey with her security expenses. She has access to the funds and I understand she will draw upon them when she has the opportunity to do something other than hire security and prepare for hearings. Because I am not aware of her having need for further financial assistance at this time, I decided to fundraise to recognize her personal and professional accomplishments, to make sure she knows people see her as far more than “just” a victim or even survivor of sexual assault and as more than a witness in a Senate hearing. [5]

The sexual discrimination, harassment, and assault that has been reported and come to light over the last two months have been equal parts terrifying and illuminating. We stand with all those who have endured sexual harassment: those who have come forward and those who have decided to remain quiet. It’s time for change, and we must act now.
The TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund connects those who experience sexual harassment, abuse or related retaliation in the workplace or trying to advance their careers with legal and public relations assistance. The money raised will help defray legal and public relations costs in select cases based on criteria and availably of funds.
The Fund will ultimately be housed at and administrated by the National Women’s Law Center, an established, national women’s rights legal organization. A network of lawyers and public relations professionals across the country will work with the Center’s Legal Network for Gender Equity to provide assistance to those ready to stand up. Access to prompt and comprehensive legal and communications help will mean empowerment for these individuals and long term growth for our culture and communities as a whole. [6]
***BELOW ARE RELATED CAMPAIGNS TO DR FORD***
We believed Dr. Anita Hill in 1991 and we believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford now.
I was 7 years old when Dr. Anita Hill testified before Congress, painstakingly describing the horrific way then Supreme Court nominee, Clarence Thomas, sexually harassed her. I first learned about Dr. Anita Hill as a college student at Western Michigan University, in my American Judicial Process class, taught by professor Dr. Ashlyn Kuersten. Now, we are seeing the exact same treatment against a woman when I am 34 years old, that was inflicted on a woman when I was 7 years old. What does this say about us and the “progress” we’ve made? That we still don’t believe women’s stories of sexual harassment and abuse? 27 years ago, 1,600 courageous black women came together to fund a full page ad in the New York Times to support Anita Hill. Learning of this from acclaimed author, Tayari Jones, it added fuel to my outrage, already raging in this society where women are constantly deluged by harassment, disrespect, and inequality. How is it that even with such a gesture of public support in the NYT, we still witnessed a woman torn apart and ultimately still allowed a man of this character to sit on the Supreme Court? This inspired our campaign to do the same for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. The American public deserves to know who Brett Kavanaugh is by beginning an investigation. This is someone who will sit on the highest court for the rest of his life. Does this man reflect the highest level of service to this country? To afford a man who is accused of violently attacking a female the exalted position of Supreme Court Justice is to tell our children that our values are corrupt. It tells us that what white boys do in high school is absolved. That women are not treated with as much care and respect as a man’s precious reputation. It is a dereliction of duty from Senators who are trying to prevent an investigation and expedite the appointment of a man with a history of sexual assault. That this has been characterized as a classic case of “He said/She said” is a testament to the diminishing of women’s rights and stories. For a California professor to publicly come out against someone being nominated for one of the most powerful positions in the country, with the knowledge that she will be exposing herself and her family to the highest form of scrutiny in front of the Senate, you must believe that she is sharing her story truthfully. Who gets to be the arbiter of truth? The court of public opinion often seems to reign supreme in this day of 24/7 news cycles and constant streams of consciousness via social media.
We believe not just Professor Ford, but we believe women. It’s time our instinct is to believe women and men who come out as survivors of sexual abuse. It’s time to begin an era where the first answer is always, “We believe her.” Women are strong and it should always be our choice to decide not just what we do with our bodies, but also our voice and power. Dr. Blasey Ford accused Brett Kavanaugh of violently trying to silence her with his hand over her mouth. Well, we won’t let him silence her anymore. Professor Ford says she was able to escape from his grasp then, but not the deep scars of assault, and we must prevent him from holding the future of women in his hands. We demand an impartial investigation. Stop saying “boys will be boys,” but instead, “boys will be held accountable for their actions.” There is no impending deadline for Kavanaugh’s nomination and we know that very well because Republicans dragged out Obama’s Supreme Court nomination of Merrick Garland for nearly a year. We are not going to stop fighting to uphold the American ideals of justice, kindness, civility and equality. We are not going to be silenced. This is just the beginning. We believe her and we believe in this country.
In Defense of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, Dr. Anita Hill, and Ourselves
27 years ago, 1600 black women took out a full page ad in the New York Times to show support for Anita Hill. We are once again faced with a corrupt Senate, and a woman who is sacrificing all for us — for the good of the nation and the Supreme Court. Please help us —men and women alike— raise money for a full-page letter in USA Today (the most widely read in the country), and sign your name in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
#Action #ALLWomen #SaveSCOTUS #STOPviolenceagainstwomen #STOPsexualassault #Ibelieveher #ChristineBlaseyFord #IbelieveChristine #TimesUp
Background:
After seeing Tayari Jones’ post that 27 years ago, 1600 black women took out a full page ad in the New York Times to show support for Dr. Anita Hill, I was outraged. Why is this story not widely reported when discussing Dr. Hill’s trials and travails? She testified while cloaked in the support and strength of 1600 black women that refused to let their voices get silenced. Dr. Hill stood up so bravely, elevated by this network of black women, to testify to the horrors her boss put her through to try and save the country from giving a justice the golden gavel for his groping hands. Thank you to these wonderful 1600 women for uniting and creating something so powerful before GoFundMe, social media platforms, and 24/7 news cycles prominence. It’s astounding they did this and yet still here we are in 2018 called to do the same after being inspired by their greatness and struggle to be heard. 27 years later, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has come out against a Supreme Court nominee because he attempted to rape her when she was in high school. I am by no means an expert, nor do I claim to understand every facet of this issue, but I am compelled to do something and I want to take action with thousands of women and men who won’t stand for this in 2018. Donors have asked for this to get published in USA Today and to do so, we need a significant amount of financial support. In an ideal world we would raise enough money to take out full page ads in major newspapers and local newspapers across the country (particularly in battleground regions where the voters could turn the country around in the right direction) in an all out blitz ahead of November elections.
I want the ad to list every single person’s name that participated in this Gofundme, just as the 1600 black women were 27 years ago.
This will be just the beginning of the reckoning for Kavanaugh. Thank you Tayari Jones for donating your hard earned $25 to support Dr. Anita Hill. Let’s do the same for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
#MeToo has revealed the stories of so many women who were alone in their pain. Let’s not stand for those who wish to dim these women’s lights, diminish their pain and erase their life stories. Let’s put this in black and white for time immemorial to read who stood silent and who stood in solidarity against men who rape, attempt rape, and destroy women in their wake.
Time is not on our side, as Chuck Grassley and his lackeys are pushing through a hearing before a proper investigation takes place. The hearing is set for Monday. We want to find a way to reach Dr. Ford in time and to showcase to the rest of the country (and the world) that we are better than that and her army will be waving the white flag for peace, justice, and equality for women. If we don’t rise up together in opposition, who will?
I would like to hear from advocacy organizations that might be interested in partnering in this effort to elevate and ensure it receives the proper channels and support. I am only one person, a working mom. But I am also a woman who has direct experience with the pain many women have felt after being victimized by a man. I hate that word because it takes away our power. According to Dr. Ford, Brett Kavanaugh covered her mouth violently with his hand to quell her screams for help and resistance. F&%k that. I would like to see this movement as an attempt to snatch the literal and proverbial hand of power Kavanaugh used as a high school boy to silence and violate away from the gavel and help Dr. Ford take back her power.
I have been in contact with USA Today to find out about reserving space dependent upon how much is raised in time for publishing before her testimony or after her testimony. We have also been put in touch with a media buyer who can help facilitate this process. We will work directly with this media buyer and USA Today to get something published. Should the contributions not reach the amount needed to publish an ad, we will reach out to donors to get consensus on next steps. Although the timeliness of publishing a running list of all the supporters in line for Dr. Ford ahead of her testimony is the most ideal, depending upon the outcome of Monday’s testimony (if it is in fact held), an ad published after the fact could still be very effective in sending a message to Washington legislators, women who wish to be validated and heard and the general public that we will be heard in these upcoming elections – regardless of the outcome of the Kavanaugh hearings.
I have also been in contact with Dr. Ford’s attorney’s office in Washington D.C., Senator Dianne Feinstein, and more to make them aware of this campaign.
If we don’t raise enough to put a full page ad out in USA Today, I would like to consult with all donors to determine best path forward to either:
1. Publish in another major newspaper that we can afford with funds raised to date.
2. Donate to a non profit that the group of donors supports. Please do contact me if you have any specific suggestions. One thought is to work with Planned Parenthood since they will be entrenched in the battle to ensure women have the right to have a choice. Another is to support an organization that helps more women get into public office to ensure we have diverse voices in power. I would also love to hear from the original 1600 women who supported Dr. Anita Hill in 1991 to find out if there is anything we can do to partner on an organization to support. Another idea is to support an organization that helps to oppose violence against women. This is bigger than all of us and there are so many ways to invest in a peaceful future for women, but I am hoping this group can rally together to make best use of this effort.
Please keep sharing and hopefully we can crest over the amount required to publish an ad in time ahead of the testimony.
Thank you,
Ashley Horvat
I will also try to keep posting on Twitter for updates (@ashleyinoregon) [7]

UPDATE: As of September 23rd @ 8pm EST, more women have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. In response, we’ve altered our campaign to support ALL THE WOMEN, and will be reaching out to their legal teams immediately to find out what level of financial support they require.
_____________________________________We believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford…
On Sunday, September 16th, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, an academic and a professor of psychology at Palo Alto University, bravely shared her story of assault and attempted rape in the 1980s at the hands of Brett Kavanaugh, a former Bush Administration official, current circuit court judge, and current nominee to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Now, the GOP is out to smear her.
This story is not new. In 1991, Professor Anita Hill bravely stepped forward during the confirmation hearings of now Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who she credibly accused of sexual harassment. The GOP, and even some Democrats, attacked Hill’s credibility, and Thomas was confirmed.
We can’t let this happen again. We can’t allow Dr. Christine Blasey Ford be demeaned or discredited for telling her story. We must all support her against vicious and vile attacks on her character. We must all assist her with any legal bills she will incur. If victims of rape and sexual assault are to come forward, they must be supported in every way.
There are many reasons Brett Kavanaugh is ill-suited to be a Supreme Court Justice. But this is the last straw. We, the people, cannot allow Brett Kavanaugh to be confirmed to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
We are a coalition of organizations, movement leaders and individuals engaged in the fight to stop this nomination.
We, the people, stand with Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
We, the people, support her in her efforts to tell her story and to be heard.
Please donate generously to ensure Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has the resources needed for her legal and communications strategy. We are not raising any money for our organizations. We are raising funds to go directly to Dr. Blasey Ford. The conservative machine is launching a full scale attack including death threats. She has hired security and moved out of her home. It will get worse.
We must stand together and support Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

NOTE ON DISTRIBUTION: We are in communication with Dr. Blasey Ford’s law firm and lead partner Debra Katz’s office. Funds will be held by GoFundMe and then every dollar raised will be delivered pursuant to Dr. Blasey Ford’s personal instructions. [8]

Due to death threats, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford (who uses “Dr. Blasey” professionally) and her family have had to leave their residence and arrange for private security. Let’s create a fund to cover her security expenses, to do just a bit to make it easier for women in her position to come forward despite great risks. If we raise more than Dr. Blasey needs, extra funds will go to women’s organizations and/or into an account to cover similar costs incurred in comparable situations.
I do not know Dr. Blasey personally but will contact her via her former high school, Holton Arms, to inform her of this fundraising appeal and to make arrangements to transfer funds to Dr. Blasey.
I am a professor of law at Georgetown University who has raised money formally and informally for other causes over the years. My reason for starting this fundraiser is to make concrete the power of collective action in providing security, and therefore support, for Dr. Blasey’s willingness to contribute to a thorough, fair vetting of a nominee for Supreme Court Justice. [9]
Now by my total that comes to a whopping $22,847,686.00 in GoFundMe’s related to Dr Christine Blasey Ford. And that doesn’t include the 6 that were started in last 18 hours with low to no funds donated YET. Even taking out the the TimesUp cash cow at a staggering $22million in donations that is still more than $813 THOUSAND DOLLARS that has been attributed to her “cause”. Steve B. summed the whole confirmation circus up below quite nicely….
I don’t know who’s house it happened at or even what year it happened. I don’t know if I got there before everyone else or after. I don’t know how I got there or how I got home over 8 miles away (at the age of 15).
My life time friend doesn’t remember any of this ( and the other 3 people I said were there testified under oath they don’t know anything about this).
I have a fear of flying , but have no problem jet-setting all over the world while on vacation. I’ve been on airplanes more in the past two months than most people in a year, but my fear is completely legit.
I don’t know who paid for my hotel and polygraph test( the afternoon of my grandmothers funeral, or maybe it was the next day, who knows). And guess what? I flew there. Oh and that polygraph, it was only two questions, neither of which were about Kavanaugh. But hey, I passed so that’s all that matters. And my PhD in psychology definitely, in no way, helped me with it or my testimony today.
My friends on the beach encouraged me to continue contacting the media with my story (because we were running out of time). I can’t name them, so we’ll just call them beach friends. Yet while giving such great advice, none were willing to be character witnesses. Meanwhile, Judge Kavanaugh had hundreds of character witnesses step up in a matter of days.
My lawyers, out of the kindness of their hearts, are helping me for FREE yet I have a “needed” gofundme page that currently is sitting at $473,622. I’m so desperately in need of help there’s even a second gofundme with $209,987. I promise though I’m not getting anything out of my testimony, that money is just going to cover my expenses.
I’m super smart. I have a PhD and I teach graduate students. I know lots of big words, but it should be totally believable that I don’t understand basic questions. (Or what EXCULPATORY means either)
I was the only person in the United States that didn’t know Congress agreed to come to me instead of me going to DC. They really do care about my flying phobia after all.
Get the picture yet, America?
